Delinquent Theatre was essentially my first client, way back in 2009. It was for an illustrated poster design before I knew how to use a camera. I’ve come a long way since then and so have they. I made this for their award-winning original play Never the Last, about Canadian composer Sophie Eckhardt-Gramatté and her relationship with expressionist painter Walter Gramatté. I incorporated digitally handpainted recreations of Gramatté’s work into the photography.
